Our Pastor Darlene is a kind, warm, and thoughtful person who leads our congregation with passion, sensitivity, compassion, and wisdom. We are so extremely blessed to have her!

She began in ministry in 2006 as a children’s pastor in a church in Tulsa, OK. She enjoyed 18 years teaching and guiding the lives of children. Her desire for ministry grew and she attended Phillips Theological Seminary where she received her Master of Divinity and was ordained in 2015. She has served on the Oklahoma Commission on Clergy and the board of Oklahoma Disciples Women, and has been director and Counselor of many Disciples camps at Camp Christian. She also served as Co-Director at the Region’s Family Camp during the summer of 2024. Her favorite scripture is Psalm 46:10. “Be still and know that I am God.” Among her spiritual practices, her favorites are walking labyrinths and facilitating group walks, and connecting with God in nature.

She and her husband, David, have been married for 34 years and lived in Tulsa the entire time! Together they have two adults daughters, a son-in-law, two dogs, and a grand-dog!
